Procedures
This is a list of procedures that will help students understand what is expected of them and help with the organization and flow of the classroom.
Procedures: About
1. Seating: I will have assigned seating to maximize the learning potential for all students and to cut down on distractions.
2. Bathroom: Students must ask to be allowed to go to the bathroom. Students must follow all bathroom procedures and policies that are stated in the school student handbook.
3. Pencils/sharpening: Students should sharpen pencils before class begins, when there is a break in class instructions, or if they get my permission.
4. Supplies: You are required to show up to class prepared with all of your supplies that are needed.
5. Entering/exiting classroom: Greet your classmates and the teacher. Be respectful as you enter and exit the classroom.
6. Distributing materials/supplies: Either at the beginning of class or as we transition between activities, I will hand out any materials or supplies that students are not required to bring to class.
7. Visitors: We might have visitors throughout the semester. Be respectful of every individual that comes into the classroom.
8. Being absent: Students with excused absences will have the chance to make up any missing work for the amount of days they were absent.
9. Standards for papers: We will not have many papers to write in class. When there is a writing assignment, students will be given certain directions to follow for each assignment.
10. Food in class: I do not allow food and drinks in class. A clear water bottle is allowed in class and can only contain water. (Reusable water bottles and cups must have a seal-able cap or lip to prevent spills.)
11. Cell Phones: All phones must be turned off and put away before class begins. Students are only allowed to use phones when I say to do so if we have an interactive activity.
12. Turning in Homework: Any homework that is completed must be submitted to me by the given due date. Any work tuned in late with have a 10% grade reduction unless the student and I have made specific arrangements
